Wow, the metro area in for a real treat when Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana dances into town. Hailed as “The Keeper of Flamenco” by Dance Magazine and honored by the King and Government of Spain with La Cruz de la Orden al Mérito Civil for “all the years of passion, excellence and dedication to the flamenco art,” Carlota Santana is an internationally-renowned flamenco and Spanish dance artist and educator.

First off, ‘Guadalupe In The Guest Room’ is not about the Virgen de Guadalupe, the Virgin Mary, it is about a woman from Mexico named Guadalupe, played by Megally Luna, who has come to the U.S. to care for her ailing daughter. The daughter, Claudia, has passed away and she is now a guest in the home of her daughter’s husband. Guadalupe doesn’t speak English and Steve doesn’t speak Spanish.
