A Taste of Puerto Rico Festival June 11th, COME & ENJOY the CELEBRATION! 11am – 7pm

The A Taste of Puerto Rico (ATOPR) Festival is deeply rooted in the Colorado community as the largest Caribbean Festival in the state.  The event attracts 20,000 plus festival attendees each year.  ATOPR is a fun family oriented event with special attractions, musical acts, cultural offerings and some of the most delicious Puerto Rican cuisine found in Colorado.

Free MetroRide

We’ve added a brand new free bus service downtown to complement the Free MallRide: The Free MetroRide. This service offers weekday rush-hour service between Union Station and Civic Center Station, making limited stops along 18th and 19th Streets.

Free MallRide

 Traveling from one end of Denver’s bustling 16th Street Mall to the other, the Free MallRide runs seven days a week and stops on every block between Civic Center and Union Station. The Free MallRide starts running at 4:59 a.m. on weekdays, 5:30 a.m. on Saturdays and 6:30 a.m. on Sundays/holidays. Service continues throughout the day with the last complete round-trip of the night starting out at 1:21 a.m. from Union Station to Civic Center Station.

RTD’s 16th Street Free MallRide, traveling seven days a week down the bustling 16th Street Mall, is another great alternative for getting around downtown. This free service stopping at every block between Civic Center and Union Station is the ideal companion to our new Free MetroRide service. Both provide fast, reliable service to area businesses, convenient connections to bus, light rail, and future commuter rail lines.  Civic Center Park is 2 blocks south from the Civic Center Station.

Click link below to see your parking options near the Civic Center.  There are several parking lots and nearby parking garages close to the festival.  Parking fees may apply.  Street parking is available.  However, parking rules may be appplied being that the event is held on a Sunday.

ACTIVITIES IN THE PARK

The ATOPR Festival offers plenty of space for everyone.  Feel free to setup a tent or have a picnic.  We want to encourage you to patronize our vendors that diligently work hard to bring you the food and  shopping so that you can enjoy the Festival.  There is absolutely to be no alcohol, firearms or weapons of any kind permitted whatsoever!

HELP TO KEEP OUR PARK CLEAN

Help us to keep our park clean, so we can continue to hold the festival at the Denver Civic Center.  We’d like to encourage all of our attendees to please help us keep the Civic Center clean. There will be plenty of trash receptacles placed throughout the festival to avoid any littering.

General and Food Vendors can now apply to have a location at the Festival.  Don’t miss the opportunity to be among the largest Caribbean crowd in Colorado.  The festival is expected to draw 20,000 plus attendees from all over the state and its surrounding neighbors.
