DENVER — October 30th, 2017 — The Mexican Cultural Center, is pleased to present its annual “Día de Muertos: A celebration to honor and remember our loved ones” exhibit. This exhibit will be open to the public from November 2nd to the 9th, with free admission for all from Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

This year’s altars were created by designer Norberto Mojardin and the Mexican Cultural Center. Altars will highlight the elements, as well as some of the symbolic cultural treasures of Mexico’s Día de Muertos. Every aspect of this exhibit will have its own story and will allow visitors to remember, honor, and, most importantly, to celebrate those who have passed away before us.

Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday traditionally observed on Nov. 1 and 2. A holiday with ancient roots combining Mexican indigenous customs and European traditions, Día de los Muertos is a lighthearted and joyful tribute to the memory of family and friends who have passed away. Families celebrate by creating ofrendas (offerings) – elaborate displays commemorating loved ones – decorating sugar skulls and more.

Bring your family and friends to celebrate this fun and colorful tradition. Día de los Muertos costumes are encouraged.
FREE ADMISSION: Saturday at 12pm to 8pm 1007 York St. Denver, CO 80206
