Don’t let the Summer Slip by without Live Music
The 21st Annual Chicano Music Festival and Auction celebrates our music, art and culture and has become an annual tradition in Colorado. Chicano music draws from the rich culture and traditions of Mexico and the Southwest and over the years it has been nurtured and embraced in backyards, small clubs, and front porches. The songs, melodies, and “riffs” created on this side of the U.S. Mexico border fuse indigenous, Mexican regional, Afro-Carribbean, Jazz, R&B, country western and rock music. This year’s musical line-up, Chicano Music Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, Chicano Jam Session, and Mariachi Tardeada are just the answers to a summer weekend for music lovers looking for fun.
The 21st Chicano Music Festival is Su Teatro’s annual centerpiece fundraiser and along with the great music, includes a silent and live auction featuring some of the best Chicano art featuring local and national artists. (See photo gallery of past Chicano Music Festivals below)
