FREE! DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION Oct. 30th, Nov. 1 & 2, 2019

Celebrated throughout the US and Mexico, Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a time to honor and celebrate deceased loved ones and keep their memory alive. This FREE community event will feature a traditional Aztec altar by Maruca Salazar, ofrendas by area school groups, free art making activities and more!

Dia de los Muertos Mexican Cultural Ctr. Nov. 2, 2017 (61)In addition to the altars created by Salazar and community schools, the exhibition Visibility and Belonging: Chicanx Art in Context will be on view. Nancy Ríos, Visiting Assistant Professor in Southwest Studies at Colorado College, worked with CC students to curate the work, which explores Chicanx culture and its influences.
