YouTube To Charge 18% Hispanic Tax, TelevisaUnivision Launches “Do the Right Thing Google” Campaign to Challenge Discriminatory Practices
The campaign calls attention to Google’s YouTube TV and its plan to discriminate against Hispanic viewers by removing Univision from its main programming bundle on September 30. YouTube TV will force millions of Hispanic viewers to pay an 18% premium – a “Hispanic tax” – to maintain access to trusted Spanish-language news, sports, and entertainment.

It had been five long years since the El Grito Community 5K Race & Walk had been held in Denver’s Westside. Covid put a stop to that and a lot more in 2020. People stopped gathering for social and community functions and El Grito was no exception.

The Mexican Cultural Center and the Colorado Symphony are excited to present the ninth edition of Latin Beats: Sonidos de las Américas on Thursday, September 25, at 7:00 p.m. at Boettcher Concert Hall. This free concert, a signature event of Denver’s Hispanic Heritage Month, brings the community together for an evening of music and dance inspired by the rich traditions of Latin America. This year’s program shines a spotlight on Afro-Mexican culture and rhythms.

By the time intermission came around, the tears were already flowing. Wait, what? I thought this was supposed to be comedic play about a group of guys trying to win the title of “The Hot Wing King” in the annual “Hot Wang Festival” competition in Memphis, Tennessee. So why was the audience so emotional?
