You’re Invited to join in the Cesar Chavez celebrations, North Denver, April 13, 2024

Cesar Chavez dedicated his life to improving the lives of migrant farm workers, and his actions inspired and empowered people throughout the world.

Join a special celebration of and tribute to this great leader, who was the face of the farmworker movement. The 23rd Annual Cesar E. Chavez Marcha* will begin on April 13 at 9 a.m. in Regis University’s St. John’s Chapel, 3333 Regis Blvd in Denver (See a huge photo gallery below of past celebrations).

The mass will be followed with the Cesar Chavez March, which will commence outside of the chapel at about 10:15 am.

Chávez, a leader in the struggle for human and civil rights for farmworkers, and an instrumental player in establishing the United Farm Workers Union, a victory for a group of working class people who had historically been abandoned by law.

The march will continue to the Cesar E. Chavez Park on Tennyson Street at West 41st Avenue in Denver. At 11:30 a.m., the celebration will continue in the park with speakers, food, music, poetry and leadership awards.
