“For years Donald Trump has used racism and xenophobia to distract Americans from his failures to strengthen our economy, provide basic protections for workers, and provide a health care system that works for us all. Now Trump is using the familiar tactic of divide and distracts by scapegoating immigrants because he has failed to protect Americans from COVID-19.

There is a direct connection between the President’s failed Coronavirus response and the economic and health care challenges facing the Latino community.  Nearly two-thirds of all Latinos have lost their jobs or are suffering from anxiety about the economy during this pandemic. Latinos are a sizable number of Coronavirus patients.
